Youth Cinema Project
Youth Cinema Project is a signature program of the Latino Film Institute, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Youth Cinema Project uses filmmaking to engage students and strengthen academic and interpersonal skills and career readiness. The curriculum aligns with California ELA and Media Arts standards. As a Capstone Project, students have the opportunity to share their work at the Los Angeles Latino International Film Festival.
Cunha Intermediate School's Youth Cinema Project, Who Needs Sleep, received the Best Film Award at the 2026 Los Angeles Latino International Film Festival (LALIFF).
